From Dr. Teferi Tsegaye: “This year, the theme of the conference is “Getting the most in a changing environment.” In this ever changing environment–where the population is increasing and food production has become challenging, it would be an advantage to educate ourselves about the new and current trends in agriculture and related issues.”
The conference will feature a choice of tours to: KSU Aquaculture Facility, Buffalo Springs & Ms. Sharon Marks Historical Home, Marksbury Farm, and Camp Nelson National Cemetary.
Workshop presenters will include representatives from the Governor’s Office on Agriculture Policy, the Community Ventures Corporation, USDA, NRCS and FSA. Presenters will speak on a range of topics including value-added forestry products and cooperative energy programs.
Register by November 1st.
